Virat Kohli, popularly known as the 'King', has an unparalleled batting record that distinguishes him from other cricketers around the world. His aggressive playing style and unmatched skill make him a fan favorite.
From a young age, Kohli dreamed of representing his country in cricket. He started with the India under-19 team in 2006 and led them to a World Cup win in 2008. He then made his senior international debut against Sri Lanka in August 2008, and has since then scored over 35 one-day hundreds and numerous other notable performances, including a high-score of 183 against Pakistan in 2012. He currently has an average of more than 50 in 50-over cricket.
Kohli's performance in the five-day game is equally impressive. In 59 Tests, he has an average of over 50 and has made 17 centuries and 14 fifties. As of January 2019, he was the #1 ranked batsman in both the ODI and Test formats.
Kohli's talent with the bat is matched by his abilities as a captain in all three forms of the game. Although he is yet to win a major tournament as captain, his team has consistently held the #1 world ranking in both Test and ODI cricket. He has the highest Test Match winning percentage as an Indian captain, and his most recent victory was a 2-1 series win against Australia, the first ever Indian series win on Australian soil.
