Are there any new rules?
Some notable changes have been made to cricket rules recently. One of them is that teams can now submit their playing XI after the toss, rather than before it. Another significant change is the introduction of the 'Impact Player' rule, allowing teams to name up to five substitutes, with one allowed to be subbed on during the game. The player taken off cannot participate any further, and the replacement must be an Indian player, unless the team has not utilized all four of its overseas players. In addition, teams can now review wides and no-balls, and if their bowling innings goes over the allotted time, they will only be allowed to have four fielders outside the 30-yard ring.
